Constitution and Objectives of Marchwood Junior School PTA

The charity was originally created in May 1999 and is registered with the Charity Commission under the number 1075465.

The objectives of the Charity are to advance the education of the pupils by developing more extended relationships between all those associated with the school including the staff members and parents alike.

This is to involve everyone take part in activities to support the school. Also to assist in the provision of facilities or resources relating towards the education at the school not otherwise provided from state funds.

We hope you find all the information you are looking for and if you need to get in touch or are interested in joining our merry band, we would be delighted to hear from you.

We are a dedicated and passionate group who organize social and fundraising events throughout the year to support and enhance opportunities for our children.

The PTA raise money each year which helps to provide the equipment, facilities and experiences that would otherwise not be available within the school budget.

The school really does benefit hugely with the support of our strong and vibrant PTA.

We have contributed towards / purchased:

  • Outdoor play equipment
  • Outdoor learning areas
  • Water bottles and book bags for all New Year 3 children
  • School trips
  • Year 6 Leavers Disco
  • Easter Egg Hunt
  • Cooking equipment for the Children’s kitchen

It’s not all about fundraising though.

Being part of the PTA means you are actively taking part in the school community.

It is great for parents and teachers to work together in partnership with a common aim.

Being part of the PTA is also a great way to get to know your school and how it works.

It provides an insight into the different areas and their needs and priorities.

It is also a great way to meet other parents and members of staff.

We are always looking for new fundraising ideas and opportunities, but we usually raise money through fun events and initiatives:

  • Fireworks Display
  • Christmas Fayre
  • Discos
  • Film Club
  • Village Traders Evening
  • Summer Village Fete

We welcome everyone to our meetings which are held in the staff room at the school every 6-8 weeks.
