Constitution and Objectives of Marchwood Junior School PTA
The charity was originally created in May 1999 and is registered with the Charity Commission under the number 1075465.
The objectives of the Charity are to advance the education of the pupils by developing more extended relationships between all those associated with the school including the staff members and parents alike.
This is to involve everyone take part in activities to support the school. Also to assist in the provision of facilities or resources relating towards the education at the school not otherwise provided from state funds.

Activities and Achievements
Last year was a success overall. The new committee worked really well together as a team with amazing support towards each other, the Chairpersons and the school as a whole. The trim trail was a big achievement for the PTA (old and new) -it is lovely to see that the children are enjoying it.
The committee were approached by Year 3 pupils and their teachers requesting funds and support to provide an outdoor learning environment outside the classrooms of Year 3.
There was fantastic teamwork and support from teachers, parents, friends and committee members who have worked very hard to complete the project digging, preparing the ground, laying artificial turf, building flower beds and benches.
Over the course of the year we have held Marchwood School Fireworks in November, The Christmas Card Project, the Annual Christmas Fayre, Discos, Film Night's, Mothers' Day Sales, The Easter Egg Hunt and Marchwood's Got talent.
Events coming up during 2016 will include more Film Nights, a Disco, A Fathers' day BBQ, The Marchwood Fete Stall, The Leavers' School Disco and maybe a few new activities to get more of the community involved.
Fundraising will continue to contribute towards activities, school trips, book bags and water bottles.
We have been busy liaising with our community partners and have been successful in receiving grants from Marchwood Parish Council, Exon and Barker Mills Estate, we would like to thank them for their ongoing support for the school and its community.
Unfortunately we lose two members this year, Andy Ollason and Jenny Aldridge. Thank you for all your hard work, support and encouragement - you will both be missed.
We are looking for enthusiastic, energised parents to join our friendly committee. Can you help? Do you like shopping/planning/organising/creating posters/leaflets and making new friends? Any amount of help and support would be gratefully received.
We meet approximately once a month (possibly a little more/less) depending on the time of the year. It's not imperative to attend every meeting and most of us bring our children along to the meetings and events and they get involved in the enjoyment that comes with working within a team and the Marchwood Family. We also communicate via email and Facebook groups to keep the smooth running of the Committee.
