1. Mrs Dalton asked if any of the monitors had talked about the Green Team and what they needed people to do during Circle Time.  So far no-one had had the opportunity.  Please try to talk about it soon, ask your teacher if that would be possible.

2. It was brought to our notice that large amounts of paper towels are being wasted, especially in the boys’ toilets.  If you see anyone wasting paper towels please inform a member of staff as soon as you can.

3. Mrs Dalton & Mrs Kitson are very aware that lights are being left on when classrooms are not in use, especially assembly times and when classes are doing PE & ICT in the afternoons. 

We are going to run a little competition in the last week of term & will check on the classrooms as often as possible & note those with their lights off – there may be a prize for the monitors whose classes are the best at saving energy. 

If possible could you also remind teachers to switch off the projectors when the rooms are empty because they waste a lot of energy too and get very hot.

4. The monitors were taken out to the compost bin to remind them where the waste from the small green compost bin used at breaktimes goes.  Please check that there is nothing plastic in there, if there is gloves are available so that it can be removed and put in the ordinary bin.  If you would like to do posters to remind everyone about the compost bin please pass them to Mrs Kitson for laminating.

5. Mrs Bassett reminded the monitors that the clocks will be going back soon and so for a few weeks we need to be very careful checking lights are being used properly and doors are shut when it is cold because it can be confusing for a while adjusting to the change.

The date of the next meeting will appear on the board and teachers will also be informed.
