Marchwood Junior School was built to serve the needs, not only of Marchwood children, but also of the local community. Financial contributions from the New Forest District Council and Marchwood Parish Council allowed for additional facilities to be provided.

At various times the school is used for community activities and clubs such as Brownies and Guides. Rooms at the school are available for hire by local groups and individuals subject to the regulations laid down by Hampshire County Council and the agreement of the Governing Body.
