Power sparks great poster ideas

At our Science Day on Tuesday 23rd March, one of the companies who ran a stall, Marchwood Power, launched a competition.

Our children were asked to design a poster about electricity. It could be about anything which helped us understand about how electricity is produced. The children were given the choice of showing one method or maybe all. They could just think about fossil fuels or maybe re-newable fuels, or both.

The prizes offered were amazing incentives to have a go! £40 for the overall winner and £15 for the winner from each year group. Entries soon started to come in, especially from the older children!

The closing date was only just over a week from the launch and all entries were received by Wednesday 31st March.

On Wednesday 28th April, Jane Holman from Marchwood Power came to our whole school assembly to present the prizes. Everyone who entered hoped to win a prize.

The year group winners were:  (Please click on the images below to see the larger posters)
