On the afternoon of Thursday 13th May, children, staff and parents enjoyed an afternoon of fun, games and entertainment on the school field.
The reason? Three fold actually:
Firstly, to celebrate the end of the school's 'Test Week' ; the Year 6 children survived SATs and the rest of the school completed the internal QCA tests.Well done to all !
Secondly, to say a big 'Thank You' to Mrs Pauline Ross who has recently stepped down as a school governor after more than 30 years of service. She will no longer be a governor but she will always be a great friend of the school ; she will be sorely missed.
And thirdly, to say 'Happy Birthday MJS' !!!! 25 Years old this month ! In May 1985 the school opened its doors to children for the first time and to mark the occasion we had an afternoon of fun and games and released 25 silver balloons.
Performances included the singing group, ocarina group, three of our diablo experts and four boys throwing devil sticks. The whole school sang a final song while accompanied by guitarists and drums.
A great afternoon was had by all !
